As with the knife sheath which was inspired from Laguiole's beautiful nature, the chopping board is made of high-quality hard maple wood. The board is characterized by a complex combination of about 30 different pieces, similar to Japanese YOSEGI. This structure and technique not only prevent the board from warping and changing shape but they also add a delicate and beautiful expression to the grain of the wood.
